RIMA, THE JUNGLE GIRL No. 3, p. 12

RIMA: Girl of the Jungle: ’51 – ’75
Month by Month by Publication Date

note: Most issues of CLASSICS ILLUSTRATED had frequent printings. Reprints are often distinguished by a reorder checklist on the back or inside cover. The Highest Reorder Number (HRN) on the list gives a rough approximation of the date for a particular reprint. Most printings are straightforward reprints except for an updated reorder checklist and other minor differences.

note: Many DC titles were on a bi-monthly schedule in the ’70s. The indicia would indicate two months, but only one date would appear [in a box] on the cover and that would be the later month, to ensure the comic stayed on the stands longer, but the bi-monthlies would go on sale according to the earlier month in the date.

So RIMA, THE JUNGLE GIRL No. 1 had [MAY] on the cover but went on sale with the monthly DC comics dated APRIL on their covers and those went on sale three months ahead of their cover dates. So the first issue of RIMA went on sale January 10 ’74.
